He squeezed her closer to him as she held on to him, and eventually they stopped giggling and she looked up at him. Her hair was soaked and wavy tendrils hung down over her shoulders. Her eyes flashed bright green and he read an expression he hadn’t seen before. Her mouth was slightly parted, her lips now much redder and plumper—and so kissable! He felt her hand run through his hair as he bent down and took her lips in his once again. This time the kiss lasted longer and they panted as his tongue invaded her mouth, teasing and dancing with hers to a song only they could hear. He licked her neck and her throat, eliciting an appreciative moan from her as her hands stroked over his shoulders and caressed his face.

Shane felt her need as their kiss became more fervent, and wondered if she could feel his massive erection through their clothes. He placed her feet on the floor, feeling her body slide down the length of his. As soon as they broke the kiss he hauled the drenched T-shirt from his body, sighing at the relief. He saw her lick her lips as she took in his hairy chest, and his cock twitched again. This time she was definitely close enough to feel it, and the slight smirk on her face told him that she had. Her gorgeous eyes looked up at his questioningly and she bit her lip. Does she know what that does to me?

He felt desperate for her, but not knowing what she had been through he couldn’t push the situation, so he held back. He didn’t have to wait long. He felt her soft fingers on his fly, and she didn’t take her eyes off his as she pulled at the zip. His cock strained against the denim, which in turn was clinging to his soaked body, and he had to lend her a hand to undo it.

He watched her eyes grow even bigger as his cock sprang free and landed straight into her hand. She gasped, still staring at his face, but obviously feeling the length and girth of his primed member.

“Are you sure?” he whispered softly.

“Oh, yeah.” She looked like there was no doubt in her mind as she tugged at his Levis and he helped her to remove them, glad that he had gone commando today.

With one hand on his cock and the other stroking the hairs on his chest she squeezed herself closer to him. He put his arms back around her, stroking her back and her soaking wet hair. Without a word she slowly took a step back from him and shrugged off the robe, which fell unceremoniously to the floor.

Shane had never seen such a beautiful woman in his life. She was a little more slender than he usually went for, but had a perfect body. Her legs were lithe and shapely, and her breasts were pert. Her stomach was completely flat and her skin as soft as silk. He felt the breath catch in his throat as he drank her in. She seemed comfortable in her own skin, and with good reason.

Her arms came back up around his neck and she licked at the seam of his lips until he granted her access and her soft, hot tongue delved into his waiting mouth, tangling with his own. She pressed her body against his and he felt the softness of her breasts against his chest, as his erection jabbed into her stomach. Her breath was hot and rampant as the kiss developed, and soon they were devouring each other, not just their mouths but their necks, ears, and throats. He felt as though he was floating on air as he kissed the luscious beauty in his arms and felt her hands and tongue exploring him.

Leaning down he kissed her breast, and enjoyed the gasp which escaped her lips as he took her nipple in his hot mouth. She tasted sweet and her nipples puckered immediately under his ministrations. He could feel the heat of her pussy as she rubbed it against his cock and he pressed against her even more as she moaned sexily in his ear.

“I want you,” she whispered huskily.

  “Are you sure?”

  “God, yes!”

He gently backed her against the wall as his hand found her dripping pussy. He stroked the folds, which parted to welcome him, and he slid first one finger, then two into her burning hole.

“Please,” she gasped, the urgency apparent in her tone.

Her hand came down and he felt her take his throbbing cock and place it at the entrance of her pussy. He watched her face as he slowly entered her, fearful of hurting her and yet desperate to be inside her. Her expression told him all he needed to know, and, after a tentative start, he thrust hard into her.

  “Yes!” she screamed.

  He thrust again.

  “Don’t stop,” she urged.

Shane had one hand on her hip and another stroking her breasts as he hammered into her over and over. With every stroke he felt like he was probing deeper and deeper into her soul, as she welcomed him into her life.

Dallas roared her appreciation, which spurred him on even more. He felt her muscles clench his aching cock as he pounded into her until she screamed his name as her juices exploded around his cock. Taking his cue from her he thrust in one more time before his own seed shot into her body, continuing to spurt as her pussy tightened around him. As he kissed her burning face he felt her hold him even tighter.

“Again,” she whispered. “I’m gonna come again, don’t move.”

Shane felt a burning sensation inside his gut. He had never had this effect on a girl before, but sure enough, he felt her muscles clench once more and she screamed into his chest as her hot juices overflowed and oozed deliciously down his leg.

He felt her nails dig into the flesh of his back and relished the pain. Her body was shaking as he held her close to him, and he felt the remains of her orgasm wrack through her, before she slumped heavily against him.

The water continued to rain over them, cooling their flushed bodies, and washing them clean.

“Thank you,” she whispered in his ear as she held him tight.

Shane grinned. No one had ever thanked him for sex before. Mind you, no one had ever come twice in one go before either. It seemed to be a day for firsts, he thought happily to himself.

  Chapter 6

After they had dried themselves off, Shane gave Dallas one of his shirts to wear. It hung on her slight body like a smock dress, but it was light and comfortable and she was glad of it.

She gazed at him as he pulled on a dry pair of jeans and a clean shirt. His body was ripped and delicious. She had wished they could have spent all day making love, but the doctor would be here shortly. Luckily, Shane had checked his messages as soon as they’d emerged from the shower. Dr. Baron had said he was on his way over, putting them both into a bit of tailspin.

Her heart was beating fast as she recalled their shower. Making love to him was the last thing she thought she would be doing this time yesterday, but today it was the most wonderful, natural thing in the world. Her head was a little muzzy, and she wasn’t convinced it was down to her cold. The gorgeous guy in front of her had actually made her come twice—something she had never done in her life before. Similarly, she had also never made love with someone the day after meeting them before, either. And, to her, they had made love. That wasn’t just sex. He couldn’t know that as he filled her pussy he was also filling her heart. The heart which she had willingly given to him, inch by inch, as she had given him her body.

She studied his face as he rubbed his hair dry with a small towel. She loved the stubble on that firm jaw, and the way his eyes lit up whenever he looked over at her. His body was muscular and strong, and she couldn’t get over the way it had felt with his cock inside her. She also couldn’t help smiling as she watched him.

He threw the towel over at her as they heard a knock at the door.

“Get your hair dry,” he told her with a cheeky grin.

Dallas was sitting on the bed and caught the towel in one hand. She rubbed it through her drenched locks, and quickly pulled a comb through them just as the doctor entered the room.

“Well, I didn’t expect to see you looking so well, missy,” he declared in surprise when he saw her.

“She wanted a shower so I let her. I thought it would help warm her up. Looks pretty tired now, though.” Shane winked at her from his position behind the doctor and she couldn’t help blushing.

“Well, now, let’s check you over, see how you’re doing,” the white-haire
d doctor said, opening his bag.

Dallas lay on top of the bed and allowed the doctor to check her blood pressure and temperature. He listened to her heart and checked her throat and the glands in her neck.

“Hmm. I don’t know what his secret is, but something’s sure done you some good.” The doctor gave her a knowing look and she blushed again.

“Temperature’s a little high, but blood pressure’s back to normal,” Dr. Baron announced. “Slightly swollen glands. I bet you’re throat’s mighty sore ain’t it?”

He smiled at Dallas who nodded.

“I can give you something for that, and some Tylenol to get the fever down, too. Other than that I think a couple of days’ rest and you’ll be right as rain. I’ll tell you, you’re damn lucky. When I saw you yesterday you had me worried. Good to see you looking so much better today. Got some color back in your cheeks, too, I see.” The old man chuckled as he put away his equipment and pulled out a couple of bottles of pills.

Dallas was sure the doctor knew exactly what they had been up to, and looked away in embarrassment. She heard Shane giggle but didn’t dare look at him.

“Got yourself mighty soaked the other night, missy.” Dr. Baron frowned at her as he fastened his bag. “What on earth were you doing out there, anyhow?”

Dallas gasped, staring down at her hands which fidgeted in her lap. She was hoping he would put away his things and go. No such luck!

“I…erm…got lost in the storm,” she murmured.

“Oh right. Only the sheriff was asking if I’d seen anyone new around town,” the doctor said, scratching his head.

Dallas felt the color drain from her face and she stared up at him. “Th–the sheriff?” she stammered.

“Yeah. Seems he got a call from a truck driver over at Billings. Said he’d picked up a young girl wearing just jeans and a shirt the other night and was worried about her. She said she had to keep moving so he pointed her in this direction. Afterward he regretted it. Said he should never have left her out there on her own in the storm. Was real concerned, so he rang the hotel to see if she’d showed up. When they said she hadn’t, he checked with the sheriff. He asked me if I knew of anyone.”

“What–what did you say?” Dallas felt her blood run cold. She could see the answer written in the wary look on his face.

“I told him I had. Told him you were up here. He’ll likely drop by later to have a word with you.” The doctor gave her a stern look as he turned to go. “I’ll leave these with Shane,” he told her, holding up the pills.

Dallas nodded, only half-aware that he and Shane were leaving the room. Her mind was in turmoil. Was it really the truck driver who was asking about her? Either way she couldn’t hang around here. She got to her feet and began searching through the chest of drawers in the corner.

“Looking for something?” A deep voice came from behind her and she darted around to see Shane leaning against the door jam.

“M–my clothes,” she blurted out. “I have to go.” She was kneeling down, frantically checking the bottom drawer.

He shook his head. “This wouldn’t have something to do with the sheriff knowing you’re here, would it?”

  “Please—I just need my clothes.”

“No. You need to tell me what in hell’s going on.”

He strolled into the room and offered her a hand to get up. Reluctantly she took it, and immediately felt the electricity which flowed between them. It was the same feeling that she had felt when he had held her in the shower. She took a deep breath, trying to erase those thoughts from her mind. She didn’t have time to think about that now.

“I haven’t got time. I need to leave now.” She felt tears burning behind her eyes and blinked quickly to try to stop them from falling.

“You got something against our sheriff?” His voice was deep and calm.

“No. But…” She took a deep breath to try to control her exasperation.

Shane led her over to the bed and she bit her lip in frustration.

“Shane. I’m really grateful for what you did for me, but I really need to leave now.” She spoke slowly and clearly, trying to make him understand.

His eyes narrowed as he studied her and she felt a little unnerved. “Is this because of what the doc said or is it something else?” His voice sounded a little hurt.

Dallas sighed, perching on the edge of the bed. “Look. It’s got nothing to do with what we just did,” she explained, realizing what he must be thinking. “I can’t tell you exactly because there isn’t time. I just have to get away from here, for both our sakes, OK?”

His jaw stiffened. “Is the law after you?”

She let out a long breath, trying not to show her annoyance. “No. I don’t think so. I don’t know. Maybe…” Dallas fought with her thoughts. She really wasn’t sure what contacts Ed Powell had, but she knew some of the police were his best friends. Whether his friendship spread as far as Montana she wasn’t sure. But she knew that police departments tended to speak to each other and it wouldn’t take much for Ed to call in a favor and…

  “You’re trembling.”

Her thoughts were broken by his words as he put his hands on her shoulders. He was standing over her, watching her.

“Don’t you understand? I need to get out of here now.” She stared at him as she spoke through gritted teeth.

He looked so gorgeous, and so masterful towering over her like that. She knew he’d try to protect her, but it was no good. Ed was too powerful for a cowboy.

“Sweetheart, do you understand that you’re not going anywhere until you tell me what’s going on?” His voice was firm and deep.

She sighed. “Look, someone might be after me, OK? He’s got contacts all over the place, including the police department. I don’t know if he’s got any pull over this way, but I can’t chance it. I’ve pissed him off real bad and I think he’s out there looking for me right now. You don’t need to get involved in this. Just give me my clothes and I’ll be out of your hair.” She spoke quickly, staring at his chest as she daren’t look into those gorgeous eyes. She could never tell him she had to leave while she was staring into those beautiful big orbs of lust.

“It’s not my hair I’m worried about, darlin’.” His voice was quiet but his words pulled the air from her lungs.

Her eyes darted up to his and she was surprised to find it wasn’t lust she was looking it, it was something…else. She gasped and her heart pounded so hard against her ribs that it physically hurt.

“You don’t want to leave me, do you?” He was staring right back at her, his voice low and concerned. His eyes looked anxious and wide.

She knew it was a mistake to look into those eyes. She felt herself shake even more and the tears blurred her vision. She tried to move away but he held her firm.

  “Talk to me,” he urged.

A knock at the front door made her jump. A hard knot coiled in her stomach and she felt herself start to hyperventilate as fear and panic engulfed her. She stared at him, silently screaming.

“It’s all right. You stay here. I’ll see who it is. No one’s going to hurt you while you’re with me, understand?”

  She nodded.

He turned, but was still holding onto her. It was evident he didn’t want to leave her in this state.

  “Shane? You there, son?”

She stared at him as a look of recognition crossed his face.

“Yeah, I’m here,” he called back, a little unsteadily.

Before he had time to move, the bedroom door opened and the sheriff stood there in the doorway.

“Not interrupting anything, am I?” He was a good-looking guy in his early thirties. His blond hair shone and his pale blue eyes danced with mischief. He wasn’t anything like Dallas had expected.

“Hey, John.” Shane loosened his grip on her as he turned. His voice was calm, though Dallas didn’t know how he managed it.

“Ah, is this our mystery woman?” The sheriff sauntered into the room with a bi
g grin on his face, which made him look even more handsome.

“Yeah, this is Dallas. You looking for her?” Shane was still holding onto one of Dallas’s hands as he stood to one side. His voice was light and jocular as he addressed his friend.

“Hi, Dallas, good to meet you.” The sheriff touched his hat as he smiled at her. Then he turned back to Shane. “Some guy from a freight yard over at Billings was asking if a young girl had made it over here the other night in the storm. Seems he gave her a lift but she had to keep moving so he directed her this way. Just wanted to make sure she got here all right. Would that be you, Dallas?”

“Who’s the guy?” Shane asked before she could speak.

“His name’s Drake Farrell. I checked him out. He’s legit. I just said I’d make enquiries and get back to him if I heard anything. I can give you his number if you’d rather call him yourself?” John looked at Dallas a little warily.

“Drake Farrell. No, that’s OK. I know the guy. He gave me a ride.” Dallas was aware that her voice was a little croaky as she looked up at Shane. She nodded to him.

“Well, that’s real neighborly of him, don’t ya think?” Shane turned to the sheriff with a smile. “Maybe Dallas should give him a call back and thank him.”

“Sure thing.” John took a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Shane.

“Thanks, John. Dallas was a little worse for wear when she got here so she’s resting up a little.” Shane turned back to her. “Actually, darlin’, maybe you should be getting back in bed now, huh?”

Dallas nodded and moved to get back under the covers.

“Well, I’ll leave you to get some rest. Nice meeting you, Dallas.” John touched his hat and Shane went to see him out. She heard them muttering but couldn’t make out what they were saying.

Taking deep breaths she climbed back under the covers, using the pillows to prop herself up in a sitting position. She coughed a little as she got settled, and took more deep breaths to steady her nerves.
